Scientists in Every Florida School Intern
As an intern working with the Florida Museum of Natural History's Scientists in Every School program, I was a part of the Chewing on Change program. This program connected K-12 teachers with interns to teach a lesson to their classes about evolutionary biology using fossilized horse teeth. As an intern in this program my duties were to attend workshops to learn about the lesson, coordinate with teachers to schedule and teach the lesson, and present on the results of the lesson.

Outreach Volunteer
As a volunteer in the Outreach Program of the University of Florida's chapter of the Wildlife Society, I have had the opportunity to work with kids after school teaching environmental and science education. This has included lesson planning and working with elementary school students during lessons to teach science in ways that are engaging and fun.

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant
At the University of Florida I was an undergraduate teaching assistant for two classes: "Madagascar, the 8th Continent" and "Thank You, Madagascar." Both of these classes were centered around books of the same names, and as a teaching assistant, I helped in the classroom by facilitating discussions on the books and other readings, giving presentations on relevant material, and assisting in grading student presentations and participation in discussions.
