About Me

I am a Zoology major and Wildlife Ecology and Conservation minor at the University of Florida. Before moving to Florida for school, I grew up in Pennsylvania a bit outside of Philadelphia. From a young age, I have been interested in animals and the environment, and I have been fortunate enough to take courses at UF that will help me turn that passion into a career. I am a firm believer in the importance of curiosity and learning from a diverse collection of sources, and my global experiences have allowed me to do just that. I plan on working in conservation with a focus on ecology and wildlife biology so that I can use my experiences to work towards protecting biodiversity and natural resources.

My personal interests aside from ecology include evolution, history, and mythology. Hobbies of mine include wildlife photography, swimming, and cooking -- which I find is a great way to stay connected to the places that I have visited. I also enjoy reading; my favorite books are Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne.
